Valee's last song to feature in Thirudan Police - TOI article
Director of Thirudan Police Caarthick Raju is thrilled by the fact that his film will feature the last song penned by eminent lyricist Valee. Sources say the legendary lyricist actually penned the song, Moodu Panikkul Odi Thiriyum Megam Pola Mayakka Nilai for the film Aaranya Kaandam, directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja. However, it wasn't used in the film.
Raju says, “Though I've never had an opportunity to work with Valee sir, I've been a big fan of his.I wanted to use his song in my maiden film.Therefore, I requested my producers SPB Charan and Selva to permit me to use the song as Charan was also the producer for Aaranya Kandam.Charan sir had just one thing to say . He said, `If the situation demands it and if this song suits the situation in your film, you can use it.' When I consulted the music director of my film, Yuvan Shankar Raja, in this regard, he assured me it did and the rest fell into place.“
